Chester-le-Street is a Fairtrade Town

Chester-le-Street declared itself a Fairtrade Town on 7th March 2008, attended by Fairtrade supporters from the area, the Leader of Chester-le-Street District Council, Councillor Linda Ebbatson and Juan Luis Aviles, a Cashew Nut Producer and a member of APRAINORES co-operative in El Salvador.
